I paint the passionate music in my soul. This driving inner rhythm is released and explored in different medium such as acrylic, acrylic collage, pastel, and mixed media to ColourYourWorld™. I explore a variety of subject matter from expressive pet or people portraits to rich landscapes of favorite haunts or commissioned vacation spots, to glorious mountainscapes and skyscapes. My artwork captures vibrancy and luminescence, coalescing in the unique vitality that mirrors my unbridled enthusiasm about life. Lynne Grossman's science and education degrees from The University of Virginia were augmented with numerous art history and studio art courses, particularly in portrait, figure, and landscape study. She's furthered her art education at The Art League studying under noted national and international artists. Since attaining her Master's degree in Education, Lynne has led numerous studio art classes and expressive arts workshops with specialties in dance, poetry, and special education.

Lynne is honored to be a juried Associate Artist with the Lorton Workhouse Arts Center, where she shows monthly on the first floor of Gallery W-16. From its inception, she was one of the invited artists whose artwork supported their Artists' Palette Fundraising Exhibitions.

As an active member of her local community, Lynne is committed to using her art for promoting healing through the arts. Several of her pieces were juried into Inova Mount Vernon Hospital's permanent collection of healing art where one of those pieces is especially honored in their redesigned Infusion Center. Additionally, Inova Kellar Center recently juried two of Lynne's works for their permanent collection of healing art. From her studio, she facilitates expressive arts workshops to people of all ages and abilities (no art, dance, nor writing experience necessary!) with patience, fun, and humor.

Although Lynne has been juried into over forty shows since 2002 and exhibited in over seventy shows total, including several solo exhibitions, her ultimate pleasure is when her art strikes a resounding chord in the heartstrings of viewers.
