Everyone should be able at some point in their life to live their dream, for me this has been that point in time. I never bore of the subject matter that nature and history provides, nor of the endless possibilities that they willing afford an artist. I hope that each painting brings a new feeling to the viewer and leaves them longing to know more about the place or event!
Linda Allred, a full time professional artist, has been painting in Oils since 2000. Born in Washington, D.C. she studied design and color at the Corcoran School of Art and now resides in Virginia with her family. After a time in career related fields she decided to pursue her passion for art under the excellent mentorship of portrait artist Mary Reilly. Associations and memberships include; Oil painters of America, Lorton Workhouse Arts Center and Creative Brush Studio & Gallery in historic Manassas, Virginia.
There is a softness in Linda's style with an emphasis on nature and capturing life's serene and joyful moments. Best know for her historic and local landscapes, Linda's body of work encompasses a variety of other subjects as well.
