Growing up learning Chinese calligraphy from her father, Chinese brushing and painting has become Irene's lifelong passion. Irene first fully became devoted to art since twelve years ago when she was captivated by flower arrangements and pursued it by studying at the Ikenobo House of Flora. Later, she engaged in Chinese water color painting by studying with James Liu who specialized in Lingnan style. Irene enjoys Lingnan's approach that shows off the mysterious and dynamic of the Chinese mountains and rocks. She would like to dedicate more energy to perfect the technique.
