This curated exhibition, Woman Made, highlights work by local women artists. This exhibition celebrates National Women's History Month and features handpicked artists from around the DC Metro region. Woman Made is a curated exhibition that is centered around works made, created and inspired by women. Terri Huck is a ceramic artist whose piece titled "How Cute!" is a play on societal pressures. The rabbit in a bunny suit, is struggling to get out. The piece is a comment on how difficult it can be to break out of people's perceptions, which Huck believes is especially challenging for women given the pressures they face to behave and dress a certain way. Judith Peck, from Vienna, Virginia, has a true talent for painting portraits that are as beautiful as they are haunting. Peck's portrait work is well known throughout the region and throughout the nation. Please join us for the public opening reception on Saturday, March 3 from 5-7pm in the Workhouse Gallery.
