The Workhouse is proud to present "Kirsten Warfield & Present Company" - a group of seasoned professionals seeking to chart a new path in brass music on Saturday, April 14 at 4pm, in the W-3 Theater as part of the ArtNotes concert series.
Led by pioneering trombonist Kirsten Warfield, this nascent group explores new frontiers with a spirit of adventure. Built on the traditional brass quintet, the addition of a drumset player and electronic media add relevance to their sound in this age of technology. Present Company is a genre-bending group with players who can and will play anything in any style. To describe their music requires creating a new label: something like "Progressive Alt-Classical."
